Nice update, curly. Is it weird that I'm more excited about the shroom updates than the herb updates now? lol. Nice cakes! Still have six I see, looks like it is going well.

Your third picture in (upper left corner) - What's going on there? I see some sad looking girls?
haha i know man im almost more excited about the shrooms too! they should be ready to consume in about 2 weeks or so very excited , also i had 7 cakes but i took one and attempted to make a bulk substrate out of some coco/verm mixture with a bit of brown rice flour thrown in too maybe another 5 days or so and ill peek in at that and see how its going its in a pretty decent sized tote and will dwarf my 6 cakes by quite a bit if it works out for me :D. plants are doing well all around ..... minus that one ya saw there thats an old rockstar mother that i left in my closet to long without attention ..... forgot about her :( but i think she may bounce back if not no biggy i still got another going.

So you are seeing a difference with LEDs and CalMag requirements?
yes sir i have ..... well i notice more deficiencies when i dont use it compared to when i do so that tells me they need more or there is a lockout of some kind , i have heard theories from some saying it is caused by too much 660nm in the spectrum
cant remember the exact reasons something to do with the intensity of the certain color of light causing plant processes to take up less cal ...or mg cant remember which .... im gonna have to surf back through some old posts and see if i can dig up more info.

greetings fellow vipar user :) your last grow inspired me to go for the a300. i couldnt be happier. i think im going to try autos next too, never done em before but they seem pretty interesting. i had my a300 in a 60x60x140 tent (which is quite alot of light for that space but i thought fuck it why not). heres a few images of my last grow: (i grew 2 x blue mystics and had a little tiny cheese plant in there as i love that shit but needed to use up the blue mystics)Royale with Cheese.jpgBody Rocking.jpgBy the Power of GreySkull!.jpgCrystal Palace.jpgDouble Trouble.jpgFeed Me Seymour.jpgMount Olympus.jpg

alright welcome to WEEKEND UPDATE haha well i dont mean to rock the boat but this might be one of the last post for this journal ...... dont worry though it is all for good reason. whilst checking over the plants the other day i noticed some balls poping up around alot :( seems to me only 2-3 of them havnt shown signs of any sex and the rest are males .....god damn it , i was hoping to get more like 5 or 6 so i think i might just make a big seed batch with any females that do pop up and then i can get as many females as i like :D so i will be keeping a few of these plants going but perhaps in my veg tent. Anyway this brings me to my next announcement which is im going to be starting a SCROG!!!! yep said i would give it a try a while back so thats what im gonna do , its gonna be following the technique of flowamasta (type in search to see his grows) seems like he has a good thing going and i wanna see what i can do with just 1 plant :D stay tuned for more info / a link to the next thread ...... sometime next week ill be getting all the supplies i need. sorry for everyone that was interested in this grow i was too haha but ill keep tabs of how the seeding goes and i will for sure be doing an early wonder skunk run sometime soon.

Hey Curly - We can compare our lights using FlowaMasta's perlite method. Are you going to try the Cyco nutes too?

I am looking for some food grade stainless steel stock pots and tubing to use for my FlowaMasta perlite hydrofarm so it will be pharmaceutical grade!

Your plants look amazing! Please send me some of that magic pollen!

Cheers,
Mo

I dig the volcanic aspects of perlite. After seeing and tasting the the fruits of Hawaii, I believe volcanic based soils are magic! :)

never heard of the stuff man ill have to take a look into it thanks for the heads up man.
It's industry standard in most of Europe for commercial growers, chopped up rockwool leftovers from standard rockwool production mixed with either chopped coco husks or inert UV polymer. The advantage is it has a wicking action in a hempy bucket which has proven to help smaller plants take hold compared to the frequent watering needed in perlite whilst smaller plants find the resevoir.

It can also be used again and again, it gets better with age so to speak, just flush with hygrozyme and rip the root ball out, the smaller roots can stay, the hygrozyme will take care of them. I've used it many times in hempy, hell my moms are in hempy and they love it, one 1.6EC watering per week and thats it..

haha looks like your in a pickle digi .... im gonna say that that 6 oz you pulled was based o your growing skill much more than your light but who knows , 2 A200's in your tent would be good 2 A300's would stepping it up a notch like newworld said but that being said maybe more of the panels that treated you well is a good idea too how much these PP panels cost? vipars are quality panels that are priced very well in my opinion and once i get a good run in these vipars will show there true colors ..... either that or ill show i need some work on my gardening skills :D haha
Howdy Curly.Well I bit the bullet and just purchased an A300 from Vipar. Looking forward to giving it a test run. If i don't get the results i want in the next couple grows I'll just ebay-it! simples:)Have a top weekend.
