Ha! I know the feeling. Anxiety is fun isn't it?

Last week my 2 aunt's, grandmother and their children were down visiting for 6 days. They stayed at my aunts house 5 blocks away but being that close they were popping "in & out" all week long as early as 8am and as late as 8pm. Herding the family away from my grow room was fun. I also had to smoke either outside or wait until nightfall so no one would ask questions... Damn family! lol

what up maximus! so true man anxiety can be very fun/ very scrutinizing but gladly everything went just fine and my grow continues without any problems. also maximus i found your post on my old thread and thought i would post it up here too seems vipar got themselves a fancy new site and a promo to go along with it.

  • For anyone that is interested in the vipars I just found this on their website:

whats up dowinit thanks for stopping in man glad to see your interested in LED's , first of when it comes to heat leds do produce it ... just like everything else giving off energy but they run about 10 degrees cooler ambient room temp than hps or hid and thats just with there built in heat distribution systems and a few small fans , whereas hps would need a/c and a whole mess of ducting and inline fans just to cool the bulb plus all the other little fans to move air around in the tent , overall 10 degrees is a huge difference and cuts a/c and air cooled hoods right out of the equation and the cost of running them month after month as well :D.

ahhh the old which one is better question , well i dont like to dabble with the whole comparison thing i just think whatever works best for your own situation is what a person should use that being said ill tell ya why i use leds. i got onto leds because i saw some journals online of some people using them and getting some good results , so i started doing some research and i saw that yes some people are able to get great results with these things as long as they had a good panel and general growing knowledge. so when it came time to buy a new setup i thought back to my hps days and remembered all the crap i would need bulbs , hoods , cooling fans , possible a/c , ducting , ballasts and all that i thought to myself .... so wait a minute i can just go grab an led panel and bypass all if not most of this stuff which cost alot up front and then alot later in electricity every month to run , so i went out and bought my first led panel actually got it off craigslist it was a "120w" chinese led panel that onl had red and blue spectrum and probly ran at about 65w true power :D. thing was pretty cool and i still have it actually sometimes put it to use in my veg tent , anyway i paid like 150$ for it and grew a little sog under it and yielded about 40-45 g's under 65w of light ... not to shabby for my first led and first DWC run :). and it pretty much took off from there bought a few more panels that treated me ok besides the magnum panels which are shit but now i got my hands on these vipars and i gotta say they are one of the best panels on the market especially when ya factor in pricing. anyway man like i say if you dont need all the bullshit that comes with hps and they run cooler and you can get yields that are the same or better than maybe leds are "better" than hps but it really all comes down to opinion , look into it man sounds like you would make an excellent led grower ... all ya need is an open mind :D

round 2 get er dunnnn! whats the story behind the tires in the closet :P
what up dubal thanks for stopping in , haha too funny man you got a keen eye those tires are from my car that i bought a while back its an oldschool chevy and guy had lowrider wire wheels on it which looked ok but not really my style not to mention speed bumps we a big no no because the suspension is chopped too. so i nabbed a set of beefy american racing rims/ tires off an old hot rod and threw them on looks alot better now in my opinion and even goes faster too :D

update on the little guys and girls been about 2 weeks since they sprouted give or take and most of them are looking very good , got a few that arent doing so well but we will see what happens i guess. im still thinking about having some auto's and some not in the tent so i will leave the non auto's in veg untill the auto's start to flower and then keep it 12/12 from there ... not sure how the auto's will take to this but i want a bunch of smaller plants this run anyhow.

I am wondering if the nutes need to be different for LED grown plants? We are burning such specific light frequencies I wonder what it does to the nute chemistry? That could be a business op - LED nutes! :)

I noticed I started having deficiencies my last week of veg/first week of flower (so about 6/7 weeks from seed). I went out and got some Cal-Mag because I've seen it mentioned on the forums regarding LED grows. It halted my deficiencies but didn't really correct anything. At the same time I started using Cal-Mag on the girls that did not show any deficiencies and they are all green with no problems. Next grow I plan to start using Cal-Mag with every feeding starting @ week 3 or 4.

I read on JadeKine.com that a lack of carbs during flower can also cause the lockout. I am adding carbs along with some CalMag.

if you Ph Down, this opens Iron, Cal, mag, Mg, which are locked out if u are at 6.7-7, try lemon juice or Apple Cider Vinegar in water or food. If you can add 5.5-6 ph to 6.9 soil it opens up absorption, also add drops of Yucca Extract, 10-20 per gal. The roots wash gently, the active ingredient in Sledgehammer Flush. You can customize with pure extract drops. Re sugar: I water and feed with Pure Cane and Molasses until 3-5 days before harvest. The flush is on, dist water, sugar, yucca, epsom salts(optional), and maybe a Cha Ching for fun. . . Stop sugar and let go dry before harvest, perhaps an extra day in darkness, trash bags, for good measure. I refuse to torture them beyond wind, dryout, as bad Ganja Karma is a Beotche.
