early sexing?

I've heard of people putting a garbage bag over the plants for 36hrs when their about 8" high. this makes buds develop. well if i do this and weed out the males, will the rest go back into the vegetative stage? this is my first grow and I've got 20 bag seed's sprouting in a peat pot greenhouse. any input helps, thanks.:confused:

PS: do i need a 30x magnifier to see developing buds or will a standard 8x magnifying glass work?

As far as i know u can start flowering and then force it to Reveg, But its probably not reccomended

this has got to be the most stupid thing ive read so far!put the garbage bag over the plant and in 36hrs youll have a lil yellow dead stick.please read something yamaha.Hey i have an idea.What about the faq?????:evil:

Lmgdao. I wasnt gonna say anything. But now that someone else did, he's right. Lmao, 36 hours under a bag would surely suffocate your plant.

oh! i never thought about suffocation. i know allot of indoor growers turn the lights off for 36 hours to induce flowering. Guess i won't be doing this now.:roll:

well its an outdoor grow. thanks for the input though, cause if i bagged em and they died i would be kicking myself in the nuts for the next month :cry:

ok now that im over the shock of that question,i use heavy duty garbage bags to induce flowering.the way its done is as follows.in the months of june july the days are long,and plants want to stay in veg.but if youre plant is tall enough and healthy enough to support the weight of the buds you can induce flowering.i put the bag over the plant or plants i want to flower at night and dont remove them until two hours after the sun has come up.only a couple of days of this will force the plants into flower,male or female youll know in a week.its actually a 12 /13 hour cycle if you can get what im saying.it throws some people off because there are only 24 hrs in a day.just trust me on this.peace
