Early harvesting

Why do so many people take the months to grow and take care of their plants and then waste it by harvesting 1-3 weeks too early? It's very common on alot of peoples journals

I'm guilty of that too. It's just a matter of my being impatient and wanting to see what
the next grow will look like. Like sneaking up early on Xmas morning, eh?

It's not trolling at at all. I simply asked a question and instead of insulting or pissing off random people on their journals i just asked it in the general forum.

I'm the opposite, mainly because of reading about others experiences. Am paranoid about harvesting too early, since buds put on like 25% of their final harvest weight in the last two weeks of flowering. Thats a significant amount over the entire crop. Over equivilent of about a pound of yield, you'd lose like 10 ounces worth of giggery.

I'm the same - I'm always wanting to get the most out of my girls so in the past, sometimes I've waited a little too long. After 7 years, I think I have it pretty close. I usually harvest over the course of several weeks or even more because I grow different phenotypes. I rarely, if ever, take down a whole plant. I harvest branch by branch (sometimes by bud) as they ripen to my liking :weed:

I don't understand, is this rhetorical or are you expecting one of us crawl into the minds of the people harvesting early and hunt down the real reason? I say rhetorical because it seems like you are asking not to get an answer (because you already know the answer "they shouldn't of cut early" haha I'm smarter than them) you just want to make sure we all know that you know better, is this correct?

If you are looking for a real answer than it seems this would be a question for those specific persons harvesting early, troll on brother, troll on!!!

The fact that you think the only way for a person to find answers to this question is to read minds just shows how simple your mind works. This is a place where the early harvesters may express there reasons without being flamed (at least not by me). Since the majority of the harvest photos i have seen are clearly immature on this website i was wondering why people don't just wait it out those last final weeks. Also, just in case you were confused if you don't have an answer to something or do not want to participate in someones discussion you can feel free to continue browsing next time. Just to clear up any confusion for the next troll posting here try reading all of the text before speaking or i will not be responding in the future.

I have not tried this method yet, but I was thinking about trying this harvest. What is the longest time that your buds took to mature after taking the first branch?

Again, why don't you ask the early harvesters themselves than?

Impatience, mother potential testing or can tell not up to my standards anyway(although a proper harvest and cure is a true test besides other factors),fuck it I am running perpetual anyway, making room. These are some of my reasons.I read the Zeus thread and have a couple plants seeing it thru.

I have never tracked this. I would guess a couple of weeks. The good part is that when you take off ripe buds and branches, the rest of the plant gets more light and air :^)

I'll take some notes on that this year. I've started in with notes here and there. For example, I am noting down the dates each plant goes into full flower (defined as more than 10-12 white pistils on each of the top and secondary buds).
