Early harvest-Bud rot- Should i flush before harvesting early?

Hello guys,

I found bud rot on my plants. Its was on few small leaves and bracts, but i know bud rot is spreading fast so i want to know if i should do flushing before harvest or not? Or should i cut off big buds on top and let the lower ones grow, because their pistils are mostly white.

That doesn't look like bud rot to me. Much too airy of a bud to get rot in most cases.

With bud rot it usually starts in the middle of a big cola and you don't see it until it starts showing on the surface and by then the cola is all dust and spores in the centre. Crush that and spores will be on everything so sealing any colas in bags tied tight around the stem before chopping them off is the way to go to prevent spread.

Flushing doesn't do shit so just chop what you need to, when you need to.

I can't tell by the pic. It almost looks like masses of red hairs from what I can see but the part I need to see most is fuzzy when I blow it up. Any chance you can get a higher rez pic and maybe snip off the leaves sticking out to the front as it looks like your camera focused on what was closest so the main stem area is out of focus.

I've never seen any kind of mould like that on plants over a lot of years and lots more plants but I haven't seen it all yet for sure.

If it were here I could stick it under my USB scope and see what the hell it is for sure. Well worth the $50 when shit like this happens.

Actually my Earth Lover CBD girl has that kind of stuff going on but it's very small leaves dying and drying up causing it. Is that stuff all crumbly and if you look real close maybe just something like that? The nodes are stacked really close together choking out the baby leaves as they emerge is what's happening. I'm not concerned about it.

Cut the infected area out and spray with 14 grams sodium bicarbonate, per gallon of water.

That plant has a long way still to go.

Few days ago i cut off every affected parts of my plants so right now there is nothing to be seen, but i will surely take a better picture if it comes back.

Thanks for your advice! It is first time i am hearing this, but lot of people are saying that it actually works so i will definitely try it.

Today i find that some of my sugar leaves are turning brown/yellow and crispy, but there is no sing of rot. I think it can be nut burn or deficiency or nodes are choking them like u said. My other plant that has more soil and is bigger has significantly less dried sugar leaves.

Are those crispy leaves just at the top of the plant? It almost looks like toxic salts buildup but I'm not seeing burnt tips on most of the leaves. Possible P deficiency but I'd expect to see that mainly in older fan leaves lower down on the plant. Is the plant outdoors all the time or spend some time under lights as light burn could cause that at the top of the plant. If the sun is burning leaves it will burn them all over and not just the tops.

How long has it been flowering as there doesn't seem to be a lot of buds forming but I'm not seeing much of the plant in the pic. Too high N can cause leaf burning and slow formation of buds but lots of leaves or could just be genetics too. Some of my outdoor auto plants are forming up like that a bit too and I think it's the heat wave weather they've been having to deal with. Only my 2nd time growing autos outside so on a learning curve myself there.

I can't point my finger at any one thing for you here. Hard to tell what's going on with so little info and harder when you can't actually be there to see the plant first hand. If it's in a pot I'd probably flush it good and make the last part of the flush some 1/2 strength bloom nutes to make sure N is lower and try to have higher K than P in the mix.

Have you been spraying something on your plants, like Neem?

Yeah with 3% hydrogen peroxide.

Looks like a bug shit on your plant and that is causing rot. Chop off all good imo?

Neem and peroxide eh. New to me. How much of each did you use and was water involved? Would have been helpful to know that bit of info.

Safer's soap and canola oil works great and I don't even doing a rinse spray it's so easy on the leaves. Nailed a fat leaf-hopper tonight and it was dead in less than 30sec. A small wasp looking thing and the same thing happened.

I mix it 50/50 with water, but i should use more water...I guess .
