Early flowering tips

Hey everyone. Accomplished smoker, newbie grower.

Thinking bout putting my girls into flower in a couple of weeks. Think I’ve been doing good so far.

Just wanted to ask is there anything I can do (Jedi mind truck,ancient Chinese secret) to get the best out of my plants for the upcoming flower?

I’ve heard things like stabbing stalk to increase tricomes and the content. Exposing it to colder temps at night. Defoliating to give more exposure, and not to defoliate allow plant to do this on its own.

Any tips or suggestions I could use Master Growers?

K.I.S.S. is the best advice I can give any new grower. DON"T mess with any of the extra stuff(hint:most of it doesn't work) just try to grow some healthy plants to the end. That is all you as a new grower should worry about. Make sure to feed them, but not super heavy. More nutrients does not directly equal bigger buds. Ignore any breeder time frames and harvest dates, and just grow the plants till they are finished. If you take nice pictures and post them we will be glad to help you determine when that is .

Yeah they look like nice healthy little plants . Seems like you are doing well. The training you are doing is good, it will help keep the canopy even, and usually improve yield.

How big should I let them get before flower on a 6 tent

What are the grow specs? Space, light(real wattage not equivalent watts), pot size?

4x4x6 1200w king led 800+ draw from wall 5w veg 5gallon pots

I’m an organic grower and I topdress my girls with about 1 inch of my fresh ewc at 2 and 4 weeks of flower. They love it!!

Did I miss the strain? That might decide when you start flowering because of the stretch. For instance I'm growing a sativa plant (first time) that went from 16" to 65" when I flipped to 12/12. Indicas will stay shorter. Caught me off guard and I ran out of height space. Had to lst.

For a newbie grower, your plants are looking great!
To get to most out of your plants, do not defoliate! Leaves are like solar pannels, the plants need them. Unless a big fan leaves is blocking a lot of light and there's a lot of bud sites under, no need to worry about it.
Just make sure your plants remain healthy and prune the lower 25/30% of the plants when they are 3-4 weeks into their flowering cycle.

Looking good! Like Thundercat said, stay basic. If you do end up needing to use fertilizer, as some soil growers do in flower, I'd just stick with a simple base nute. Floranova bloom is what I use. But there are lots of good ones out there. Hope your grow and harvest go well!
