anyone that bought the 20.00 E-conolight


did you all get a catalog now??? i received a catalog and looks like you can get MH bulbs and HPS bulbs super cheap!

i have gotten 2 catalogs now since i bought my light. i like the t5s too. but for bulbs i go hidhut. they have hid bulbs for a 400 hps with 55k lumens and multispectrum rel low red too for like 24 dollars!

no catalog yet, there sold out permantly of the $20 ones they have the in ceiling ones now for $25, i got one and LOVE IT ALREADY!

hey this should mke you laugh.

i wired my econo light up. i am also am elctrician, sort of. navy trained, which mens i can read instructions. anyway i wired it up and turned it on. it worked! i waked away for 5 seconds and came back.

stupid me! I HAD LEFT THE LIGHT SITTING ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR MAT!. Completely forgot how hot it would get and that it was on the floor. it burned all the way through it and smeared rubber all the way on the bulb. Lol, no damage to floor. but one hopt light.

i refuse to use mine becasue i cant figure out what to do with the ground. gotta red the thread i guess. i just wired it up to a thoird porn of insulated wire. now i got tha tcopper part just laying there. seems like i should be able to tuck it in the fixture. I mean it is already exposed. IDK, like I said i fixed planes, with book. lol. no jokes plese.

lol oops! you talking about that gold looking wire thing? i did nothing with mine.....wired it up to an extension chord and all is good.....I did nothing with that ground

whoaaaaaaaaaah, that is a serious PARTY FOUL

ALWAYS GROUND YOUR STUFF.... i cant believe you had a issue with it, its black to black white to white and the copper wire on the econolight is a ground, so hook that up to the GREEN WIRE!

i have my 150 in a 2x3x3H stealth box, other than looking like the sun is inside there..lol my temps are still under 80, i had 6 26w cfls and it was exactly the same temps, now the bulb it self is hot, but i have my tops like 2 inches away with a fan blowing on light with my intake fan on w/filter too.

where do you get the green wire? there was only 2 wires in my extension chord.
