I was about 12 and had a chopper with a banana seat and linked springer front end. I don't remember where I found it but most of the bearings where locked up, so I rebuilt it and rode it around till I sold it. Kinda wish that thing was hanging in my shop now lol

regarding seats, i am very happy with a brooks leather saddle.
the first miles may hurt a bit but afterward you dont even notice it.
takes a few hundred miles and some leather fat till its perfect.

most often big soft saddles do more harm then good in my eyes and others who ride much.
a lot did tried and failed.
a leather saddle dont even need the springs.
it fits your ass so dont even notice it.
you can be lucky find a seat fit your ass, but leather is quite perfect, there is a reason it used for sadles for a log time.
just my 2 cent but its also the experience of thousands feeling the same.
