I owned a couple of e-bikes around 20-years ago. They were only 600watts back then, and we only had SLA batteries, so range was really quite limited. That said, the thing that drives me nuts about e-bike riders these days, is that they somehow forget that they are on a motorized vehicle. I see kids on high powered e-bikes all the time blowing through stoplights/signs, riding on sidewalks, the wrong side of the street, and on state park trails. E-bikes are cool, but remember you're not just riding a bicycle anymore.
