Dyna Gro Foliage Pro

I've heard that Foliage Pro can be used from start to finish without using Grow and/or Bloom ...can anyone confirm this is all one needs or are Grow & Bloom worth while to use as well?

My local grow-shop recommends using "Grow" and "Bloom" as well as "Foliage Pro", but they are into selling more products

BTW: I grow hempy style, typically 75% perlite / 25% vermiculite in 2L pop bottles.

cheers

I've used Foliage Pro during veg and loved it. I could never get their Bloom product to stay in solution. It always precipitated out.

When I first started doing hempy's I used foliage pro the entire grow and it worked excellent. The bloom and grow were a waste! Although I could use grow if I needed to during veg.

If you like simple nutes also give greenleaf nutrients "megacrop" a try. It is a dry amendment that you can get in a two part or one part. The two part allows you to adjust nutrient ratios from veg to flower.

My rule of thumb has always been 3-1-2 for veg and 2-1-3 for bloom. I am not trying out adding pk 13/14 4 or so weeks before flower for a week to see what it does, but I have always been changing my grow methods so don't have much to base it off of. The foliage pro was great for me in soil though.

I also liked their silica product but you just have to be sure it never got frozen during shipping, it will help with drought tolerance and branch breakage, and help if you have a hydrophobic medium

Good to see you active still here sun king, I love your work!

extra gram or so of epsom does the trick. it "might" need Ca if you use RO. it's fine Ca wise with my well water
I've used GH Maxi-bloom in the past and always needed Cal-mag as my tap water is basically mountain water...so I assume I would need cal-mag with Foliage Pro

you might need cal/mg and maybe epsom salts too. just keep an eye out for Mg deficiency.

I would consider mega crop but I can't find it locally.

I'm considering doing 2 plants with Foliage Pro and 2 plants with my traditional GH Maxi Bloom so I can see which one works best for me

I was using Diablo nutes with my previous crop and wasn't impressed or maybe I just didn't use them right...hard to teach an old dog new tricks

I like to stick with what works well for me.....but I'm willing to give Dyna Gro a shot

PS: nice to see folks who remember my old handle :)
