MBSR - Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
A professional meditation instructor is a good option for the young or educated, who hold a master's degree in psychology, sociology and related fields, are the minimum prerequisites, along with a minimum of 5 years instruction, often a traditional Buddhist master. It is a well paid and fulfilling job and you'll die happy, making the world a better place, compassion comes first though, and those you serve come before your self, it's part of the job.
They help in all kinds of personal and social issues, from healing a mother's postpartum depression and minimize the impact on the child. They work with the sick and suffering to reduce their suffering and become a friend to each, they to walk the path, right along side me. They are also very good with depression and mood disorders which really are socio/emotional issues. No man is an island.
If yer kids or grand kids are looking for a stable career with lot's of growing trade, we are made emotionally and socially stupid by technology. You can only do this work if you practice, but you do that at work anyway (great for discipline), your on the path too and as you age you will become stronger, a good, friend, neighbor, citizen and patriot too. What a great good paying career with enormous benefits for physical and mental heath too, not to mention the wind at your back and your heart light and full of joy, to be young again..
Bad thinking, coulda, woulda, shouda. Pointless to peruse, mindfulness. Be in the present moment, that is where all the action is and where all the choices are made, be there for life.
