Depends on the setup I'd say. Higher wattage lights put off more heat and climates are different everywhere. For the most part tho, if you make sure your bucket is light-proofed(black or wrap it in reflective material) your water temps shouldnt be a huge deal to keep under control. Atm we're using regular black 3gallon buckets with 1-2" foamboard for lids and they seem to stay right around 70-72F. You could even refrigerate your nute-water to drop the temps lower and just fill your bucket with that 
If you can put your growing container on your head and still see light through it....its not ready to grow in yet 
You want your buckets to be miniature caves. Dark, cool, and aerated. Hope this helps ya. Good luck and happy growing!

get some cheap home depot buckets wrap em in mylar and use the black net pot lids sold at any decent hydro shop. Eventually you'll come across something saying you should put frozen water bottles in your res. dont. all youll do is F up the roots. What will the buckets be sitting on? concrete? carpet? raised off the ground I.E a pallet?

they will be in a homemade growbox made of mdfwood.since you use air stones does the water usaully stay a room temp?

I use frozen water bottles never fucked up my roots. What you want to do is " air bathe " your roots while you let the water / nutes cool down with frozen water bottles. You can just take your bucket lid/ netpot and set it on top of two chairs or in another empty bucket and if you think its bad, trust me its not the roots like the extra air.

This works good to I use the Igloo 5 gallon sports coolers they say Lowe's on them but they keep my water cool for days at a time or until i do res/change or top off.

It's one of those round sports team coolers that you can poor gatorade out of through the spout at the bottom. Makes a GREAT rez since you can just press the button and drain and refill!

Its the brand "Igloo" they make other brands like " Coleman" but we use Igloo because the drain spout is threaded and you can attach all sorts of drains on them which makes emptying easy.

Not really. Just make sure the outside of your buckets are white.
My room get's a little hotter than I would like which used to cause me alot of panic about what the water was like.
However the water usually stays cool,I usually top up with fresh colder water everyday, so the way I look at it is even in the worst case scenario , it may get to high for a small period of time, when I freshly top them up it will help kinda even it out.
Obv the more water in the bucket the more cooler it tend's to stay, if water levels are allowed to get really low , then it can start to get warmish.

Mine usually stays a couple degrees cooler than the room. but like everyones been saying get an igloo cooler and your good. I like to glue a six inch round air stone to the bottom and refrigerate my nutes for a couple hours before the change. keeps em nice and cool til the top off. also get alil aquarium thermostat (the cheap kind) just as a precaution. Dunno if you know or not but keep the water level a few inches below the bottom of your pots. good luck

If you are worried about temps you can buy water chillers. The water in your res goes through it and gets cooled to a cretin temp.

Here's a novel idea. Why don't you just try a grow and see where your temps are with what ever system you use. If they are under 75 and you don't have any problems then your golden. If they are too high then try some thing different. I do fine with just 5gal. buckets kept topped off every day (keeping them full keeps a steady temp and nute level) they sit on concrete In a basement that stays about 70
if you drop frozen bottles in a different reservoir that feedings into your buckets.
I have interchangable lids and can or chose not to grow in any bucket. depending on the size of your pump, that determines how many buckets you can hook together.
More of a RDWC but along the same lines.

How about not everyone lives in the same climate as you. Growers on this site come from all over the planet. From desert climates to places like Alaska and Hawaii. What works for you may not work for others.
