DWC water keeps growing this brown stuff no matter what i do..

well i have a 14gallon tub from walmart and i put water inside, then 30 min later AFTER i put those hydrotons in the net pots with the plants there were these like brown things on the bottom.
so i made a mini dwc out of a Fruit punch gallon did the same exact thing as far as covering it up so no light, washing the hydrotons, and putting my clone in. but still the brown stuff keeps showing up.........
could it be the hydrotons or is that fungus growing super fast? and is this harmful to my plant?

got any pics? sounds like dust n crap off the hydroton to me

yea the one im using now is light proof. im not using any nutes as of right now. the dwc im using now is made out of a fruit punch gallon bottle.
it could be the hydrotons but i washed them already....

Is your pH rising faster than it should be? Algae usually causes it to jump quickly. I'm gonna say clay dust. Is it just settling on the bottom or is it floating around the res. any ?

its just sitting at the bottom.

im sure its just dust but make sure ur rez is lightproof and ull be fine

most likely the dust from the hydroton rocks. I rinsed mine for a good hour and still got alittle dust of them.
