looking into making a larger scale dwc cloner for lets say around 100 clones and flowering plants clones right into 12/12, going to be using a large large tote for it and those 2 inch neoprene disks to hold the clones in place. First of all can i put plants straight into 12/12 after cutting the clones or do they first need top be rooted? each clone if going to be around 4 inches long and i was planning on cutting the vegg cycle out and doing straight flower. either 400 or 600w hps lamp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on the dwc sog issue

i would give tehm like two weeks to root and then maybe another week or so to grow a little bit then switch into flower.

have u personally tried growing like this? In the video see more buds u can see a garden simular to what im talking about. They had 3 different setups with the straight from clone to 12/12 dwc set up bringing in 5.5lb from a 4x8 area if i recall. the reason i wanted to cut out veg time is to keep them small so i can fit more onto each box, only planning on having maybe 8-12 inch tall plants at finish.

I guess another question would be is it possible to root a clone in 12/12. If need be i could rig up a under bed type storage unit, the short but long storage totes, and a shoplight for a cloner if i had to

One would think so I mean when the lights are off plants cant use photosynthesis and the roots will get its food source from the water in the cloner.

It's not going to work.
Unless you plan on top feeding, the clones have no way to eat but from themselves or through foilar feeding.
Even if you still go 12/12 from cutting the clones, they will spend time making roots first so they can eat and survive.
Once you have at least 1 tap root showing, you can go 12/12.
But you are correct, the sooner you can go 12/12 in SOG, the better and less crowded.
Most ppl are going to harp about no veg = less yield, but with the sheer number of plants you're talking about growing, your yield will make up for any lack of veg.
Go for it and good vibes to you !!
