DWC Scrog Grow Extrema & El Monstre!

I didn't stick a branch thru each whole. I wanted them to have breathing room.
And I didn't let it grow over where I add my nutes and check on the water from.

Leaves are starting to yellow a bit. I'm pulling a couple of them off every couple days. Not sure if thats a good thing or not.
I know the leaves are supposed to yellow. Just don't want them going extreme when I flush in a couple days.

Subbed up.. everything looking good over here. I want to try a scrog grow in the near future so i'm probably going to have to start doing some research right now.

I'm pleased with the Scrog method. It's pretty easy but I will have my canopy more even next time.

Practice make perfect.. Is it difficult to drain and change the reservoir with the screen?? That's like my main concern with a scrog grow.

Nope. Pretty simple. There are a couple different ways to change the water. Get creative with it
I have a water hose hooked to my drain plug and it runs thru the floor and drains out on the ground below the house.
I could hook the other end up to the water spigot outside and fill it up thru the same hose but I don't want an exposed hose outside that runs under my house
so I sit a chair next to the rez and sit a bucket with a hose in it to siphon it from the bucket into the rez and use another bucket to fill that bucket up with fresh water
Sounds complicated but its really not..

Gonna start flushing in a day or so. El Mon 2 is yellowing more than El Mon 1
The smaller buds are turning a caramel color.
The bigger buds still have a few white pistils on them but still have about another week and half left.
They look Awesome and very yummy.
Gonna be some sticky icky. Smell is sweet & spicy!!

Started flushing yesterday. The ladies and buds look Grrrrreat!
Not sure what to expect for a yield but I'll be pleased with 4-6 oz dry weight
I'm gonna shoot for a pound with my next grow. I have sprouts in veg so I'm hoping they will produce well with only a 4 week veg.

Looking sweet as hell Blu, just another step closer seeing grows like this and the passion ppl have for it is awesome, good job man.

Thanks! I am pleased with the grow so far
I am super stoked to sample the finished product before and after cured

Clone and sprouts are looking good. They need to be moved under the MH, but gotta wait til El Mons are thru flowering.
Nice and Healthy roots. Alot better than my roots started out with the El Mons. Should be a better grow.
My new mindset is to grow healthy roots instead of plants. If your roots are healthy then your plants will be happy.
New micro pore stones are next on the list.

Ok just purchased a microscope from eBay for $30. Now I will know when to harvest for sure.
20-200 X zoom and it takes pictures
About 4 days and it should be here. Woo Hoo!!

dude, thank you now i can compare tmrw. I like a head high myself but a 5050 sounds good too. hopefully just another three weeks for me.

Whew-weee the ladies smell Grrreeaaattt!!
Was looking around in there at the buds. 2 of em in there are as big around as a coke can and twice as tall.
I have smaller buds in the back and under buds that I haven't even seen. Ready for chop time!!

I have been patient with this grow and have not picked a single bud. Even tho I have wanted to..
I was gonna go 9 weeks and chop but since I ordered a m-scope I will wait and see what the trichs look like.
I see many people on here that pick their buds at like 7 weeks just because they think the buds are done because they look good. (Yes they do)
Then they try to justify picking early by saying they got a slight uppity head change from the bud.
Let the plants go the extra week or so and pack on that extra size and desired potency. Patience young grasshoppers!!

Could not agree more with you, most people think when the hairs are brown bla bla bla but the only way to know for sure is check the trichromes. I have a USB 20x to 400x paid 100$ for it. I can take pics and movies with it not that impressed with it. My good old pocket scope works great. You need at least a 30x to see the show. You going to post some pics, I'm just sexing some of my Sannie's seeds this week. You going to do a smoke report? Good growing and positive vibes your way, later

I was looking at the 400x one but getting the 200x instead. Only paying $30 for it so I can't complain. It's worth a shot.

Roots are looking healthier and whiter since I have been flushing for the past week. They were stained from the bloom nutes.
Ready to check these trichs to know when I need to chop. Come on postman bring my scope!!

The Extrema sprouts are looking great with healthy / white roots.
The clone that I had in soil. I moved it to DWC and it is doing great with roots getting long and thick.
They are still under CFL's in the Rubbermaid. I need to get me a little fan blowing on them.
As they are in a temporary home, so I haven't gone to extremes on the grow space.
I feel alot more confident about this next grow than I did with my first one. And my first one has turned out pretty damn good.
Looking to double my yield next grow and keeping a much more even canopy. Should be a nice grow once I get them moved.
I'll post some pics if anyone is interested. Not sure if I wanna continue with this journal for the next grow or start a new one.
