i've had great luck rinsing probe in white vinegar and storing in RO water. only had to calibrate twice in 4 plus years. It should also be calibrated weekly.
i usually use the cal/mg at full stregth (4mL/gal for my brand) so i'm not too concerned with the ppm's it provides. but you are correct: all of what you put in the water will add up to a grand total. i add fulvic acid and it has 0 ppm so it doesn't affect ppm. but the cal/mg is like 1-0-0 and will add ppms.yes, but wouldn't you be doing the same thing with the calmag? it may be 50ppm as opposed to 200, but it would be measured separately from the other nutes correct?
you can measure at each step to see what each contributes:
measure your RO water, should be 0. add micros. then measure. add bloom. measure. add grow. measure. add cal/mg measure again. you'll see the pattern of how much each one adds.
