DWC nutrients whats works with tap water?

I was on the phone with A/N yesterday and we talked about tap water. This is what he said when using the PH perfect line....The Ph perfect line was made to be used in conjunction with R.O water only. Why???..1)the ph buffering is more stable in R.O water,this means less fluctuation of the PH. If you start with R.O water you WILL get a stable ph of 5.7-5.8 after using the nutrients ONLY AS DIRECTED! If you use 50% strength base don't forget to cut back on additives! You should always start with the base nutes FIRST! Then add your additives.They do not recommend using the additives out of order. Say for example you are using the hobbyist line. DO NOT use additives from the professional series unless you are including all of the expert nutrients and hobbyist nutrients first. Also the other reason for using R.O water is there are already chemicals and nutrients in tap water. This can cause an imbalance and cause lockouts due to excessive nutrients when your tap water reads over 200ppm. I am currently using the PH perfect Sensi Bloom line and hobbyist additives in my DWC. I had a calcium lockout due to excess cal/mag! You do not need to add cal/mag to the PH perfect line,even when using R.O water. This is something they corrected with the new line. I was told to top off my res with 50% strength solution. Hope this info helps. I realized that you really have to go by the book if you are new to advanced nutrients. There are some seasoned growers that know what they can mix in and leave out of the A/N line and have FANTASTIC results! But being a noobie to A/N I am now going by the book. Good Luck!

BTW..If you have questions about A/N you can call their tech support line. When I called I was only on hold for 2 minutes! The guy was very helpful and seemed eager to answer all my questions.
