Ok I used aluminum tape over the top of the res, hopefully its light proof now. I also put up a few more cfls with reflectors on them like roseman has and they seem shine more light. Finally I put a rolled up wet towel on the res top along with 2 cups of water. Tomorrow I will grab a manifold and make an bubbleponics system.
