DWC LED grow with my Pro Grow 260

So I decided to do some research and give the LEDs a try. I believe the pro grow is a great company that spent tons of time researching their leds with mmj growing. Ive grown DWC in 5 galloon buckets with a airstone with a 600 watt HPS but this will be the first time with the new led light. Its great cause I don't need to worry about switching lights for flower and I use a third of the energy and no heat being transferred into my grow closet. So I start now with which was suppose to be three clones but the dispensary doesn't know a clone from a cutting and the stupid bud tender sold me 2 clippings with no roots and one rooted clone. Any way hopefully the other clippings with root and I will have a nice skunk plant and a nice hash plant..... Im having issues loading my pics but I will get them up tonight for sure.

The only way a 600w hps isn't a complete lighting solution is if you are already growing a pound and you still need more. Good luck with your leds. I'll keep watching if you keep posting. :D

I don't think he said anything about his 600 not being enough, it was about usage.

cheers to trying LED's, I'll keep watching if you keep posting.

Yes hps are nice but im doing a new grow set up where my landlord doesn't mind if I grow just as long as its a small set up/ The hos needs a lot more ventilation and heat usage and of course. This set up is super basic and I hear this light competes very well with the HPS. So we will see. Here are some pics. Sweet. Subbed.

Im rockin two PG180's in a 33 x 17" footprint.

I would suggest runnin it on full spectrum- too much blue with stunt the kids. It's a nice option.. But unneccesary, unless for seedlings/clones

Hey thanks scotch for the info. so im ok on veg setting for right now with these clones but after they start growing you will use both veg and bloom. Thanks for the info I will definitely have to do that.

Ok so I went back to the dispensary I bought my clones/clippings and bitched about the quality of clones they sold me and they agreed. They were sold to early so I returned them and went to a better more reliable dispensary and I purchased 3 new clones. I bought a, sharks breath, Jamaican skunk and a blue donkey dick. The blue donkey dick is a new strand created in Denver. Its blueberry mixed with donkey dick. Anyway I have them in 5 galloon DWC buckets now using Humboldt Plan A and Plan B .P1250320.jpgP1250322.jpgP1250324.jpgP1250325.jpgP1250326.jpgP1250327.jpg

Eh, can never go wrong with some Blueberry, would love to get a good strain that carries on that authentic...original blueberry taste.

ok so I haven't really seen any new growth from the clones yet. I heard it takes 2 weeks for the plants to adjust to the different spectrums of light a led light produces. Do you guys have any info on this? Also ive had a few leaves turn a little yellowish and some were like that when I bought the clones but im wondering if im giving them to much light right now? My light is on on both spectrums for 18hrs a day. Also im thinking I have no new growth because the plants are still adjusting to being in hydroponics. When I got the clones they were in rockwool cunes surrounded by soil and I soaked most of the dirt away from the roots and transpotted them into hydroton for there DWC buckets. I know its only been a couple of days ive had these clones im just to excited to start watching them grow but I also need to realize these plants have gone through a ton of new changes in the past week and they just need to adjust to the new grow life.P1270329.jpgP1270330.jpgP1270331.jpgP1270332.jpgP1270334.jpgP1270344.jpgP1270347.jpgP1270348.jpg

I have never had a transition problem to/with my LED's. I run apache techs. I think it is just general stress from all the action going on for them like you said...transplant, soil to hydro, young clones, and possibly the light. If it is the light it would be from increase in the intensity compared to the t5's they were probably vegged under originally, not that is an led.

^^^ yea I've heard of a "transition" for LEDs but never witnessed it personally..

Probably moreso to intense of light.. making them try to develope more foliage instead of grounding themselves..

should I go back to just veg light and maybe only half the time with both spectrums or will that freak them out?..... Also whats the best way to try to develop new foliage...... the dispensary I got the clones at said they have never been fed any nutrients yet. I started these guys out with the smallest amount of Humboldts Plan A and B and hygrozyme so I hope they start kicking up some growth.

^^^that is what I figured. Start them on 1/4 or 1/3 strength and they should get going. Special being in a hydro system, you need to supply all their food.

well I know only put both spectrums on in the last 2 to 3 hours of there 18hr cycle. I think they received to much light with both spectrums on at the beginning. Heres a pic of the Jamaican skunk that is almost dead but the blue donkey dick is doing well and the shark breath has lost a few leaves but its been drinking a lot and the roots look nice and whit I just hope I start seeing some growth. They have only been in hydro and under the led for 8 days but Im getting inpatient. I want growth..bdd5.jpgP2010368.jpgP2010369.jpgP2010370.jpg

How much visible roots hanging in the solution? It doesnt look like theyre drinking anything... ie the shriveled look.

Water level to the net pot?

The leaves look like they'd crumble if you touched em...which leads me to think it has something to do with transpiration, low oxygen levels, uptake, water level.. maybe too much much hydroton, how saturated is the medium and 'ton? It really looks like everything is drying out...leaves, 'ton...which means your roots are dying....

I really couldnt see too much PAR drying them out like that...

Anyone else have some insight?

EDIT: picture of the roots?
