Roots look white. Water temp could cause the colorization. What kind of air circulation do you have? PH might be a little low. You might also want to bump up the PPMs. 350-450 could also help with a little more nitrogen.

Your hydroton looks very dry. Top watering, or adding a dripper will help keep it alive till enough roots reach the water.

The problem is you try to start a seed in a system designed for established clones. That doesn't mean it's not doable, there's just so much safer and better approaches.

I start them outside in small coir pucks before going to DWC, then they're established and only take 1-2 days to reach the water after transplant.

26 inches from plants m8 lights turned down to lowest about 2000 Lumes top of plants, did have humidity at 70 when lights off but everything was soaking, and I thought maybe that was the issue plants taking humidity water which is the wrong ph etc.I have two which look deed and roots starting to go brown and look unhealthy yet they aren’t in the water

I’d bring the water level up so it’s touching the bottom of the pot and raise you ppms to aroma 350 and don’t get the rockwool wet anymore.

You should be top feeding till the roots touch the water.

There is no Rockwool! And if there was water touching net pots after couple of days that would be soaking one of the main reason I stopped using rockwool

Yeah what I do is run my tap water throught the hydroton to water in the beginning and I also use root zone or a hydroguard to mix with my top off water.... I have higher temps in my basement and running the hydroguard or another supplement ( I don't know the name) helps with high temp issues that can cause bacteria. You could also used hydrogen peroxide to mix with top off water.
