toss the buckets and get coolers to maintain and keep your water temps below 70*. 400-600w MH/HPS. compared to soil, idk. I have yet to do either. Only read. From my reading I see 1 thing, soil sucks compared to hydro(anyway) and you crop way faster. Someone else will have to answer the rest.
yes, buckets have no insulation value, so whatever temp your room is at, your buckets will be to. This means you will grow bad shit in your bucket! keep it below 70* and sealed off from all light and you dont have to worry about it nearly as much.
I put an ice tray full of ice in my rez about every 1-2 days.
those are some hungry bitches for sure, im in a sweet spot right now at 12-1300ppm but they will take a lot more with just a little tip burn but require water more regular to adjust for uptake . ive found they eat up n and require a lot of cal mag too. i hate to push them cause im lazy lol n dont want to add water every day lol. im adding a gallon per bucket every 5 to 6 days.
i live in an area that the marine layer controlls the area temps n really dont have to worry too much about temps thankfully. im in the 50s every night with maby 70 in the day with a few hotter ones thrown in once n a while. my buckets stay in the mid to upper 60s. i used a cooler for my res in the aero unit n loved it. temps were always stable n the pump in the res was all but silent too. im working on plans for a rdwc system now using a cooler for the res. i think they are representative of the future in dwc. jmo
For sure 4T I took a good year off. Had to handle some family bizeness and Get refocused. In the meantime I got my wish my state Became legal and I got my authorizeation and everything just feelz like its comeing together. Couldn't have happened at a better time honestly. I missed growing I missed chatting it up with u all and love doing what I love to do man!Before the break I had these bishes eating out of the palms of my hands completely fine tuned dialed in and some of them drippy wet. U do get into a groove with ur plants. I lost mine. On top of that I failed. To check my. Ppm pen and ph pen when I fired back up and paid for it literally lol. Its all good I'm feelin it again mostly from the inspiration y'all and a few others are giveing me. That's real talk man. Its good to be back. Cool to see u all still doing ur thingz after so long.
