Saturday, November 28 Flower Day 61, Day 144
1. Found one bud starting to hermie. Forgot to take a pic cause when I saw it I got ahead of myself and started chopping.
2. Wanted to go the full 70 days, and do a 1-3 day flush in darkness, and then chop. Instead I did not flush, chopped after lights came on, no extended dark period or dropping temps to bring out colors, and I did a bud-wash in plain water to get off any dust, cat hair, etc.
3. Trying for a 7-10 day dry and I was worried they would dry out faster so I tried to hang the plant as whole as possible. 45% RH in there (maybe should have got a humidifier to keep at 55%)
4. I have mini hygromoeters to go in jars with 62% boveda packs gonna leave one jar without Boveda to check the diff.
5. I estimate 4 ounces of dried marijuana which would be around 1 gram a watt give or take.

Grow Conclusions
1. Stressed out the plant too much in veg almost split the stalk, broke a branch here and there, defoliated multiple times possibly when she wasn't feeling well, had too much air blowing at one point in time, and lights were too intense and close for a 2x2
2. Probably too much stress during transition and flower. gave only three days recovery after doing preflower lollipopping and defoliation, snapped a branch or two that taped back and healed nicely, defoliated at the 3 week mark, very lightly at 6 weeks, and pulled a couple leaves middle of week 8

Improvements for next run
1. Place rockwwool on the hydroton higher, on 3-4 layers of hydroton instead of one.
2. Be gentler when increasing light intensity during veg, maybe push light intensity a little harder during flower than I did.
3. Give at least a week of healthy growth (not 3 days even if she looks good) before transitioning to flower.
4. Defoliate at week 3 if really necessary then do not touch leaves at all after that
5. Higher focus on lst, some topping, and no knuckling or super cropping of main branches only the connecting ones.
6. Create a drain system so I can actually keep a scrog net in place this time
7. Although humidity stayed in a decent range I will purchase a humidifer and dehumidifer to really key in humidity levels.

Next grow plans
Going to try 4 plants in my 2x2 for a shorter veg time(still under my household's plant count limit)
Strain: Blue Dream from ILGM
Since I got my recipe finally figured out during some trial and error in my Gelato grow, I will be using Advanced Nutrients again.

Overall, seeing as how this was my first serious grow, I'm happy with the how she looks as well as the yield. Gelato is a little finicky and I should not have gone with this strain for a first grow, but doing so really taught me to listen to what my plant needs. I will get back with the dry weight after 7-10 days and a quality review on curing days 30, 60, and 90.

Buds are finally dry! Couldn't do a 7 day dry, but I think I was able to slow it down enough. Buds are super sticky and smell pretty good already.

I definitely over-estimated the yield. Dry weight was only 59.2 grams or 2.11 ounces. 2 ounces for one plant is okay I guess.

Curing has begun! Can't wait to do a smoke report.

Hygrometer is reading 64% in the jar. Once it gets to 61% I will probably add a Boveda pack. 3-4 weeks til I get to sample!
