DWC Flushing Question

So this might be a dumb question but I cant find the answer.. I am using dwc setup and I want to strengthen the nutris but I want to flush them out so I know if its too strong or not. When you flush out a dwc do you just add plain water to the res? Also how long do you need to run the plain water for before the nutris in the plant are out?

I dont flush between bumping the fertilizer up. Do you have a TDS or EC meter? On my grow i usually start

1st week 1/4 strength (with AN fertilizers its about 150ppm)
2nd week 1/2 strength (again about 300ppm)
3rd week full strength (about 600-650ppm)

I do this for Veg and Flower, slowly work your way up but I probably wouldnt bother with flushing unless you're changing the light cycle or preparing to harvest. In that case I would run just straight ph'd water for an entire light cycle then change it out to your bloom fertilizer the following day or just run straight water for the remainder of the grow when you see you are close to harvest.

I have been in flowering for about 2 weeks but I want to see how much nutri they can handle. Right now they are at full strength but not really growing that fast. I can not even tell the sex on them. I was just thinking about flushing and adding full plus a 1/4 strength. I know they can handle that much but just want to start clear before I up it just incase it is too strong ill know and can change out res back to full

I still wouldnt worry about flushing them, just do your res change and add your full plus a quarter. you know they can handle full, so thats a good basepoint to be able to go back too.

2 weeks into flower, you should see something. what does your setup consist of? lights, equipment, ect.

Are you able to take some pics. Maybe start a grow journal, you will get alot of help!

I run 1000 max in Flower & 650 max in veg (PPM's)

What nutrients are you using? What lights setup etc... a lot more going on then just nutrients in a DWC grow.

You can not force the plant to drink / eat. Running high PPM's will not make it grow faster. Do not force her it may be stunted in growth? Maybe getting burned and you should possibly consider running lower PPM's until you see the water level decreasing (this is all assuming your nutrient level is not really changing much)

This might sound really dumb but I dont know anything about ppms or have any money to buy anything unless its not too expensive. I have done reading on ppma and I just get lost. I am using a 8 gallon container, rubbermaid type and I only have 2 gallons of water in it so that the roots are in the water about 3 inches. I have a 150watt hps light, 2 grow light flourescents, and 3 led discs. The hps light I have on them for 6 sixs a day and the other 6 is the flour and leds. I dont want to leave the hps on while im not here do to lack of venting space and the heat will get too high. It is in a closet. There is a 1 foot air stone under each plant with its own pump. I am currently using micro and bloom, 18ml/g of micro and 36ml/g of bloom. The ph is right at 5.8-6 always and I use RO every other time and tap every other.
