Who stole my avatar and started giving RDWC advice?!
Number one, lose the 'ppm' thing; there are several different ppm scales and unless you know which is which it will Fuck you up bad. The nute companies themselves don't even agree on which to use, so stick with EC, aka electrical conductivity. It isn't perfect either, but it is universal.
Second, I run about EC 1.2 in veg and ramp up through bloom to 1.7 at peak, then right back down to 1.2 at finish.
I like to let pH swing upwards slowly. If it swings up fast, the solution is weak. If it drops, too strong. For veg in RDWC 5.4 up to 5.8 works best. Bloom runs 5.5-5.8 early, then creeping up to 6.0 in peak and thereafter.
I like my temps anywhere between 62 and 68f. Seventy is okay for short periods but needs to drop to maintain the balance of microbial power in favor of the aerobic beneficials. Warmer IS better for metabolism, so allowing daytime temps to creep up and then cooling overnight to at least 68 or 66f works very well for me.
If it matters, I use hydroton and I like to keep my water just touching the netpot in late veg, until they drop roots. Then half to an inch clearance is the goal. Drop it low at harvest time to encourage a sweet finish!
