DWC cloner water temperature

So I'm wondering what the temperature of the water should be. I read different opinions, some said around 25ºC (77ºF) and other around 19ºC (67ºF).

So which one is the right one ?

Cooler temperatures help the water stay 'fresh', which discourages stem rot. Warmer water helps the cuttings to root slightly faster, but invites disease. I personally would inoculate with beneficial microbes and let the water be room temp. If you do this, make sure your water is super oxygenated.

Doesn't look like I have a temperature problem then as my water is at 25ºC. Do you know what could be the reason for a very slow root growth ?

How long have you had them in your cloner? I'm at 13 days in first try with Turbo Klone T48 and only have white root bumps to show for it. :-( I've had temps at around 27* though. Using Aquashield and don't have any slime/algae...

Strain seems to be an issue. Some seem to root faster than others. My bubble cloner takes a while too. Just take your clones a few days earlier if they're the type to take a while to root.

Mine are 11 days old and the biggest roots are just 0.5cm long. The thing is that they took 4 days to grow 0.5cm (0.2 inch) which seems quite slow.

totally agree, strain definitely matters a lot.

:leaf:Don't use any heaters in you cloner. Make sure you got LOTS of bubbles!!!:leaf:
All I do is pH my water to 5.8 untill they start popin roots.
Then I use 1/3 Strength Nutes till Veg.

Clonex liquid is antimicrobial and cloning calls for temps between 72 f and 82 f .

reading thru here and nobody is using a rooting liquid. I have roots in 5 days with some strains, I couldn't do this with water alone.
