they do seem a little stretched
Other than the first week or so (while they were getting started) I've had my light pretty close to the plants, closer to 8" than 12". I know it's pretty darn close, but the closer the better, unless burn of course.Yeah I came today and looked at them and knew that the light needed to be closer
Bummer dude, and I seem to have all the luck. I have read to keep the lights high when starting new seeds. What am I missing here?Yeah my plants stretched out even more and might die as a result of having the light too far away, I moved it to about 14 inches from the top of my seedling 2 day ago and gave it a 1/4 shot of Boost & Root 66 according to the nute schedule. I came today and the stems are stronger and a tad thicker but they might not make it. These hydro systems are amazing, I have never seen a plant stretch that fast ever, and I have always been a outdoor guy. Wish me luck I will post the pics one way or the other. $100 mistake for seeds Damn!. They could make it though weed is very tough. Stresses in Cali
I was just reading the bible here and Cervantes says not to use fertilizer on seedlings. I can't find an explanation of the reasoning, but maybe that's the cause of your stretching. My girls are starting to stand up a little and the leaves just keep growing bigger and greener they just might pull thru.
Alright, they're picking up the pace man. Looking good!I do have a fan blowing on them and my light is about a foot away (11 inches) from the plants. They just need a little time to catch the stretch, if you know what I mean. Thanks for checking me out and any suggestions are helpful and taken.
