Dwarf plant / Impatient / issues I don’t see?

So this is my second time ever growing. First time was three years ago I grew a bag seed outside and I got about 13 ounces off it. I believe it was mostly Sativa. Anyways, so now that it passed legislation in Michigan I decided I would take up the hobby again since it’s fun. I ordered some critical mass seeds from ILGM and I started growing. Only one of the first three I tried to germ were successful and that is the plant you see here. The plant sprouted out of soil on the 14th of November, so today would be day 24. I started in a solo cup and have PH’ed to 6.3-6.5 for every watering. I transplanted about a week ago out of the small solo cup it was in, I feel it may have been too early, but it was done. I am positive I am not overwatering this time, and I have only fed it toot growth which is a 0-0-.10 feed twice and a mixture of general organics once. Light is sitting about 18” or so from plant with two 45w 6500k CFLs on each side. I have a steady airflow coming in and leaving with the help of the 190cfm in-line fan, though I am making sure it is on low setting to avoid TOO MUCH negative pressure. The temp is between 77-81 in the daytime and 70-72 at night. RH is up and down, but averaging around 40%. The LED light is a 500w aquarium light that has had some more red less thrown into it to make it more suitable for growing cannabis. Actual wattage from wall is 210w. Anywho, I just was wondering if this is what you would expect for size on an Indica dominant strain at day 24. I have seen some other threads that are making it seem like maybe something went wrong in my grow. Also, I did top yesterday on node 5. Let me know and hello to everyone.

Plant looks fine. Maybe a little small but it will take off once the roots grow out. That soil will keep it happy for awhile so don't go dumping a bunch of stuff on it. That's usually where new growers go wrong and end up messing up their plants. That plant looks healthy so just keep doing what you've been doing.

Good luck.

Thank you xtsho. I’m sure I’m just worrying over nothing at this point. I know they literally hit growth spurts at different times so I will just be patient

Decided I’d turn this into a grow journal of sorts as it is a place for me to note growth and anyone else who wants to read. Day 28 and it has shown noticeable new growth since day 25, though not an insane amount. The plant recovered very quickly from the topping and is looking g good. Overall, it seems healthy, just a slow grower. I believe the seeds were old which may be the cause. I only think this because they were slightly lighter in color than other seeds I have seen. Anyways, here’s some more photos of her today.

Do you have pets near that plant. I've spotted hair or webs in multiple of your pics. Plant looks nice, although there's no real need to pH your water in soil .....

Lol, yes. I have a German Shepherd whose hair gets everywhere. It’s impossible to keep it off anything.

Patience...
Looks OK- just need to let it grow. I'd think that the added red would add a bit of stretch. I also find that if the intensity is a bit too high in early veg, my plants can stack up like that.

Could be genetics. I had same issue with Mango Kush from ILGM. 2” tall with 8 sets of leaves. Never grew out of it. Max 1/2” internodes at 3 weeks of bloom. I ended up cutting and replanting. Switched to Seedman with extra expense of shipping with original breeder packaging.

Sprouted the 14th of November so today is day 30. Still small, still bushy as ever. I cut off the side of my fabric pot to allow better airflow under the “canopy”. Haven’t watered in multiple days, doesn’t appear to need it. Plant is still looking very healthy, apart from being a runt. Leaves do feel a little dry, but humidity is up and down. I have been spraying the soil to raise it but as soon as that drys it lowers again. I would say this plant is about 5” - 6” tall at 30 days which makes me feel like there is something wrong, but everything I’m doing seems right on paper so I’m just going to let it veg out and hope it gets bigger. It certainly could be the genetics Merlin, but unfortunately I only germinated the one seed at the time I decided to grow it so I have no others to compare to. I have since germinated 5 more in an attempt to see if this is how they all grow. I feel like with 600 watt led, 205 watts at the wall with the LED, and 2 65watt cfls hanging above it, it would stretch if anything from not enough light. I’ll probably throw in another update Monday or Tuesday.

Are you vents filtered on the tent? In one of those pictures it looks like one of the round vent openings is open and not filtered. If not you're going to suck in hair from that nice looking dog. When the buds start ripening and get sticky you could get contamination. Nothing worse than lint and hair in your buds. It's a pet peeve of mine. Unfiltered open vents.

6 day growth comparison. Last Saturday on the right / today on the left.

That vents is closed. I have one open one that has my intake fan on. The other open one is my exhaust up top.

Looks like its growing just fine to me, seems nice and healthy! It takes a few weeks for seedlings to get going usually. I would bet right as it started to grow you transplanted it, and then topped it. Both of which will temporarly slow growth. Now you've got a nice little bushy plant though that should take off if you let it.

I would suggest getting your light closer. 200w sitting 18 inches above a plant isn't much. Those cfls on the sides can be almost touching the plant without any concern, so I'd move them more to the sides then lower your main light down in between them.

I moved my light to 12” and the cfls closer. I am looking at getting a new light, possibly an, possible HPS, but for now this is what I have as it was given to me. A buddy was using it in his saltwater aquarium and then bought new ones. It’s a 500 watt but only pulls 205 at 100% power. I’m aware LED manufactures tend to exaggerate. We just swapped out lights in this one to make it have 70% red and 30% blue.

Day 33

Seems to have picked up a little noticeable growth, not a lot, but a little. Very very bushy for being so small. I did decide to trim off a little more on the bottom. Leaves were hanging in soil and it wasn’t getting light anyways. For such a small plant, it sure seems to have a lot of growth. Still very very short.

I did water with RODI water again today and did half Recommended Nutes.

Went ahead and de-foliated two main fan leaves from each of the two tops in hopes of easily letting light into the 4 middle nodes seen? Good or bad idea?
