Duh, PH issues yet again

Currently on my 2nd grow, once i started ramping up the P&K two weeks after flip i had terrible problems getting my PH under control.
My bottle of PH down lasted weeks when the last bottle went for months...

Today i finally put my PH meter in a glass of water, ( its always 7 here ), and it read 8.6 !!!
For at least a month i have been feeding things far too acid.
Must remember to dunk PH meter in a clean glass of water once a week to check that it reads 7

Now in week 8 things seem to be going well, however too paranoid to post pics.

I don't know about that...those shades of green can get a little weird...the color I got said my pH was low 7 high 6 range, but when I used my newly calibrated pen (calibrated in a wetlab where I work) the pen said 8.8

I even went back to the lab and recalibrated the pen the next day and got the same 8.8 the next afternoon.

I have 7.0 science PH fluid, but i payed science money for it so i hate wasting/using it lol. ( I have now found a cheap retail 7.0 fluid )

And since the local water is always 7.0, its awesome for calibrating.

I have a 3 point digital calibration meter and the sachets, but i wound up deciding that the dirt cheap screw adjusted ones were best for me.

I tested again, and it had already gone .4 back in the other direction, so im just going to have to remember to give it regular resets in 7.0
