Ive got some ko kush x jackberry from sannies about ready to harvest. all the pistils are dark orange, theres no sight of any white ones anymore. and the pistils look like they are starting to dry up. but for some reason im not seeing barely any amber triches. its been 8 weeks if not longer since ive started flowering so i know they are done. i just dont want to keep waiting for the triches to turn while the buds get all dried up . plus i need to harvest asap. what should i do?

If youre in a hurry and all the pistils are all orange and you have just a few amber trichomes you can probably harvest anytime you want. Unless you want more amber. it might be worth the wait.

i have a kush that does that in the 8th week and i always give it one more after that.

Are you seeing clear or cloudy trics?

id say they are about 15% clear 80% cloudy and 5% amber. i burned them pretty bad and so i did some major pruning so i know growth go stunted a little. i just want to harvest as soon as i can while still having a decent product. i mean the bud is frosty as hell, how much of a difference would it make to wait til theres more amber?

Man, with the ratios you posted, I'd say you are within a few days, UNLESS you want higher CBD ratios. I prefer to harvest for the head buzz anyway, as this is what you're probably at right now. There will plenty of couch lock stuff available without even trying...

I like to see the majority cloudy trics, once all my trics are cloudy down she comes. There will be a few amber kicking around by this time. The sign of amber trics means that your thc is deteriorating. I would think in another day or two will be perfect if you can wait...

absolutely. this is my first high quality bud harvest and ive already flushed her all out and shes ready to come down.

Sounds like you're getting close.
Pistils will turn well before harvest on some strains. You really can't use them as a guide.
The flushing likely had a hand in the accelerated browning too.
