Dual spec benifit

Many agree MH is better for veg/early flower and dual spec onward. It isn't practical in many cases so people use MH for veg and dual spec for flower.

However I just want to theory question with a few thoughts.

When you use mh the nodes stay short and lst goes side ways easier. But then when you flower with hps the top nodes stretch up and leave behind the canopy that will then get less light lumans as you have to raise lights more from them. Even with slight bending they still stretch past the canopy that ''evolved'' around a MH light source.

So that leads onto the obvious question. Is it not better to veg with dual hps so that the plants do most of the stretching in veg but then have a canopy better evolved to the hps flower?. On top of that the leaves have set up chloro levels in veg to optimally use the same light they will get in flower. That is assuming a plant veged under hps will stretch far less once flipped under hps.

I thought a lot of the stretch during the first couple weeks of flower was more so based on genetics of the plant? Obviously lighting plays some roll in this, but from my understanding indica dominant plants don't tend to have the stretch during flower that sativa dominant plants do. Obviously, both will stretch, just to different extents. Am I way out in left field here?

all plants stretch . but yes the sativa is a very tall stretcher . will stretch 8 foot tall indoors lol . so what a lot of people doo . example . guess the plant will double in size in flower . indica do stretch as well . usually double as well . in size. they will stretch under t5 lighting also a 7200k hortilux blue metal halide bulb. I tried them all .
