try to up your rh next time. 55-60%
well that’s what my room is at consistently. I’m just drying a few branches right now and don’t have any way to really increasehumidity. But I figured once I Fully harvest and Cut down Both plants and get both my plants in there with sugar leaves still attached should help increase my humidity. They are massive plants so they will fill my whole spare room.

How large is the space you dry in?

Do it. My 1st harvest payed the price but it was an experimental grow. Humidity dropped on me a few times while I was out and the hay smell never left the smaller buds. The tops were good tho.

It may not all be dry at the same time. airy buds will dry out faster than dense boulders so keeping the humidity up around 62-65. 68F temp should be fine. Just don't let it warm up. Good luck & wish me luck on my upcoming harvest.

Which one do I need a humidifier or a dehumidifier
A box that you can hang the crop in, then cut a few holes to let the moisture out slowly, osmosis ensures that the moisture will be pulled/exchanged through the holes gradually to match the outside rh%.
You would need to mess around with the hole size to fine tune the rh%.
You could just cut one big hole and expose less/more of it.

I'm in northern California. It's fairly dry and warm in October compared to many other places in the US. (rain? what's that?). The ambient RH is well under 50%. So, I need to humidifier to add moisture to my drying area. I made a very basic PVC pipe frame and wrapped it with black plastic. There's a humidifier in there running and it keeps it right around 60% RH.
