Drying Question

My first grow ever (I'm using LED) is coming near an end and its time to think about drying. I have to be discreet as my son will be home from college. My two options are hanging them in the tent, or putting them on an elevated screen high up. Either way they are in my basement. And it's getting cold here in Mass.

Help please. I'm an old man whose a newbie. Thanks.

you can dry them right in the tent.make sure to manicure the plants BEFORE you dry otherwise its a real pain in the ass to trim.you can leave the sweet leaves if you want but trim everything else.there are a ton of videos on youtube about trimming.anyways make sure its not below 60 degrees or they will take forever to dry.I use a piece of fence and roll it into a circle and hang my buds on there.if you have a fan and odor control in your tent then that would be the best place to dry.also leave your plants in pitch darkness for the last week or even a few days and they will produce more resin for you.good luck!

He's straight as can be. I don't know how he hasn't figured it out after 19 years?

But can I use a heater in the tent?

I think a heater in the tent is ok as long as you have good air circulation and it doesn't develop hot spots. If you can keep the temp about 70 or so you should do great.

I would put it in the tent. By the way... even straight as an arrow guys smoke pot bongsmilie. Most just don't say anything so you'd never know. ;-)

Beware of heaters in tents! If it's a potential fire hazard, you will lose not only your grow but your entire house.

Thanks for the answers. I have a small fan/heater I feel is very safe. After all of this waiting I don't want it to go up in smoke too soon!
