Drying Problem / Help needed

Hi Riu

I have got myself an auto grow on the go and i chopped 2 last week. They were both covered in THC 85% of hairs had turned. I hung them in my drying area and they had dried in 3 days (temp is 17c and humidity is at about 25%) i presume it is due to the buds being smaller than your regular sized grow. The room is dark with a fan creating a nice breeze.

Anyways i noticed after drying that the thc seemed to have vanished? On my gnomo auto the thc looks like it has lost upto 70%! I smoked abit and it tastes real nice but not much of a hit. i am confused. I have now put them in jars in the grow room and i am opening them daily.

I have smoked the second one this morning which is Blue Himalaya and that again is tasty as hell but not much of a hit. Thc seems to have degraded here aswell.

What have i done wrong?

Many Thanks

Smokey

Hey Smokey, I think you harvested too early... you want to let the trichomes get some color... milky to just amber is my preference.. before you take them... get a 30 power lupe/handheld magnifier.. and you can see them quite clearly . Also it sounds like the drying time is very fast... usually takes 5 to 7 days then a cure.. depending of course on temp. humidity etc. good luck and Happy Gardening ! Peace

You are dryin them out to fast. Humidity should be 45-50% 3-7 days on screens drying in the dark.
Drying to fast can change the potency....

IF you hang them up like you see in high times, where each branch has its own space, you will dry them in 3-4 days...next time, when you chop it down, bundle it all up semi tight and don't cut off the fan leaves until you're ready to jar it.
