Drying on a dry rack with no fan a problem ??

I find rack drying works fine. The only issues can be the bud squashing under its own weight or the tricomes getting rubbed off as you rotate the buds.
If your rack has mesh rather than solid shelves try and limit handling the buds to reduce the risk of shaking of the crystals.
Is NO fan a problem... Yeah I have the rack with mesh but I put Reynolds wrap on top of the mesh....

ive been drying on 3, 4 level 4' HTG mesh racks for 3 harvests now. I wouldn't use renolyds (sp) wrap, as your not allowing proper air flow to come thru the bottom of the nets. I turn mine every 12 hrs. I use the hood exhaust as a fan to move some air around the room, but never blowing directly on the dry nets. direct air flow can dry out too quickly, as you was a slow dry. my dry room/general grow room area is 73* and 40-50% r/h. it takes me about a week to a week and a half of drying before I put them into mason jars.
Im probally going with 4 days in closet (hanging some inside closet upside down too, but ran out of space, so that's why I have a net). Not sure on the net in basement with no fan. Also just took off Reynolds wrap... Grow under a 175 hps so smaller buds, so shorter dry time.

I dry on bread trays lined with newspaper. Wouldn't recommend Reynolds wrap due to it's inability to wick moisture away.
If RH% isn't > 50% & temperatures above 70f your good to go imo.
No moving the buds required until ready to pack away.

Boveda 62 is great stuff.
Personally I have a stack of large 62's on hand when curing. Don't pack up your nugs too soon or the boveda can't keep up. More boveda is always better, can't overdo it.
If storing a pound I pop a 60g boveda 62 with it.

I prefer to err on the side of dry before adding boveda but I'm patient.

I only add the 62% packs after my jar reaches 60-65% (nothing higher). then in the packs go, and ready for curing.
Does bud stick together in a jar using the bovedo packs ????
All I do is hang the main colas for 2 weeks and put a gentle breeze on them every other day. After 15 days they are ready for curing inside mason jars.View attachment 3270217
2 weeks seems to long to me, more like 5 days maybe.
