Drying in cool weather

Good question. I will be harvesting soon and am now going to be drying in a new room that is an addition and doesn't have central temp controls. I will be around the same temps. I am also curious! I always was under the assumption you want a cool, dark place...and heard of people putting fresh harvest in the fridge to bring out more trichs. So maybe colder is better. IDK I'm half asleep and baked but hope to see a definitive answer.

What would be the down side of drying weed at 50- 55 degrees (F)?
cold air = drier air.so it will dry out faster you would think but its the opposite.it will take ALOT longer to dry but the finished product will be about the same as a 65 degree room(which is what I prefer) ive tried cool drys outside in the shed but it just took longer to dry with the same outcome just had to wait to start cure longer.also the longer you prolong drying the more likely you will get fungus or mold.also you can bruise bud as it is a fruit so extreme cold will bruise it as in the form of freezing and breaking trichome gland heads off (not good).I prefer 65 but someone else on here might have a different way that works in the cold
