drying in a wood stove??

I have a wood stove with an ash pan. I was wondering how well it would work to dry buds in the stove(without a fire of course). It's dark, the smell would exit out the top for no smell. Crack the ash pan a lil to controll draft. Opinions?

i just see alot of reasons why that could go wrong, you cant go wrong if you hang dry them!

well i was planning on hanging them in there, prolly have to put in a box with a string to hang em to keep the draft off em, but you could control the humidity with the ash pan door and no noses up that high or know where its coming from if they do smell it

it should work im drying in my car in the uk in all the rain and it works

in your car how are you controlling the heat and humidity?

im not i just open the boot every couple days to check and vent a lil bit.

if i had to make it work in a vehicle i would get some rid ex(to control humidity) put it close to it in some tupperware , just an idea

i didnt think that it would work before but it does and i have dried inside with it hanging in the dryer air and the taste is just the same from the car as inside a house.

i think the major flaw of the car is that it stinks and if it is cold outside then the buds will take to long to dry but i dont really have another option yet but i think your stove would work very well aslong as it is clean.

i bet your car smells great if your the only one that uses it

and i think the stove would work beter than in the dryer, no air movement in the dryer
