So im trying to harvest here, and its winter, and its cold, humid, and well... winter.

the nugs i have hanging are taking forever to dry. im worried about mold/rot. ive never seen them take this long to dry, its been 4 days and they are soaking wet still.

any tips? i got some hanging, and a plant that needs to be chopped down, but im worried about these temps.

would turning a lamp on damage the thc? i dont wanna bake it in the oven, gimme some tips!

Yeah a dehumidifier would help or if its gettin too cold in there maybe like one of those lil room heaters ya know those lil ones like 6"x6" or sumptin might help. And fans for sure keep air flow goin, wanna keep it dark though.

i do not have any spare fans (they are all working with the plants) and the dehumidifier i use is my split AC unit, which im not using becuase its cold enough already.

ill try sticking the space heater in there too i guess and see what happens

try putting some of your drying back into your grow room see if it works then you can try the newly dried to see if you have any decreses in potency

I have a big space heater, with 3 of those rods that turn orange as they heat up, kind of like in an oven. i put one about a foot infront of it (ironically hanging off of huge stem from a previous harvest), and had it on low heat, seemed to work well, its drying faster that i would have liked. i usually give it 4 days of hang time, but this nug has been hanging there since my last post, and its dry. it just grinded some up, got a ton of keif, and it smoked well.

Not as good as slow dried and cured, but it definatley got the job done.

get a large box, and place a small ceramic heater in it. make a drying mini-room
ceramic? or the mica ones? looks like a big flat panel kinda? perhaps ill invest in one of those. maybe that will make it warm enough to not rot/mold, and not quick dry it either.

Sadly, im having the same issue with my clones, from 90% success rate in summer to maybe 10% now. just too cold for it to work out. either i use the lid and the humidity stays high, but the soil never dries and i get mold, or i dont use the lid and then that rarely works, and the soil still stays wet. I gotta pick up some of those heating pads or something.

cont: 1/2 the reason im not prepared well for winter here is that it only lasts a month or 2 at most. the other 10ish months of the year is 75 to 110 degrees or so

Darkness,Air flow,Humidity,Temps, and Time is all it takes, just make sure your within the reasonable limits as to not ruin your crop with mold or drying too fast. Ive found lots of info on drying and curing your buds safely on RIU, Google, and Youtube. hope this helps
