Drying Error / Please Help

Dry room temp and humidity reached high levels , dry room was unattended locked up with no fan or ventilation , was hot and stuffy . adjusted temp and ventilation , however ,buds do not smell as dank now as they did when hung . Is it because of the high temp and humidity situation ? Any suggestions on best next move as far as curing to try and possibly get that dank smell I originally had back ?

Spend a quick hundo and get a couple of inkbird controllers. I got an RH one for my main room but I'll be getting another and the temp one before I harvest. They rock. Like $40-50 bucks each. I wish I knew more so I could help, but I am still on my first grow myself. I am just aiming to keep the room from 50-55RH and around 68-72F, looking for like a 10-14 day dry. Just did a bunch of research and that's the conclusion I came to. Anyway, at least it doesn't smell like hay, then you'd really be bummin. My buddy ruined 2 pounds cause he dried it too fast. lol.

yep was just going to go there once I heard days from chop! Your are right on the money!

I’ve produced some hay smelling weed and it doesn’t have the wow factor when folks smell it but it’s just as potent.

I can’t tell you what to do for the best cure because I have trouble with that myself, but just know that the hay smell doesn’t affect potency.

I’ve gotten ripped off my hay smelling weed, so it’s not “ruined” in the sense that it’s worthless...
