Drying/curing tips? Aquarium air pump?

Hi, folks.

Just looking for some general tips re: drying and curing. I've seen some methods/products online that incorporate an aquarium air pump. Anyone have any experience/luck with that? I happen to have a pretty nice pump on hand that I purchased for making compost tea. What's the concept there? Based on what I'm seeing elsewhere online, seems like folks run tubing throughout their jars/buckets/totes, more or less connecting them all and then firing up the air pump on one end. I can't imagine one would run the pump constantly but maybe I'm wrong?

Anyway, eager to hear your thoughts. I've scoped out a couple old threads but haven't found much regarding air pumps so I thought I'd publish a new post. Thanks for your time! I love this site.. pretty solid community here!

K.I.S.S. METHOD
Keep it stupid simple
Weed after it's harvested, can either be trimmed wet or hung and let to dry before trimming. Each way has distinct advantages and disadvantages. But drying should always be done in a relatively dry, cool, dark environment. Under 60% some would even argue 50%, but I prefer a steady 55-60%, 60-65°F for a minimum of 1 week hanging if I'm doing a dry trim. Then depending on the stem pliability, meaning if it bends or if it snaps and makes a cracking sound, I buck it from the stem and trim it,jar it and start curing for a minimum of 1.5 - 2 weeks before distributing to patients. Curing is done after buds have reached a dry state, but they haven't quite released all the moisture from inside the buds. So curing allows that moisture to kinda even back out throughout the buds. And in doing so,the buds break down all sorts of plant chemicals that we don't really wanta ingest. I burp my jars at least 1 or twice a day for the first few days and then fewer and fewer times as the cure goes on. Burping is just opening the jars, letting new fresh air in, expelling all the moist air out, and re closing after a handful of minutes. Hope this helps.
