Drying Bud with a Dehumidifier????

when people come to my store to buy dehumidifiers and a/c units and suffer from asthma i tell them to make a small water container next to their head so that the dehumidification goes mostly near your head not actually in it... sometimes people wake up literally dry and sore in the morning due to the fact that the unit dried all their pore sweat out during their sleep...

heres the question..... would it mold the buds? or would the cycle work ? ( the watered container )
Do you mean put water in your bud dried?
If you do, i don't know if it will mould the bud or if the cycle would work. But i'm sure if there were more water in the bud dried, there would be too much water in there for that little dehumidifier, and i assume it would take longer to dry the bud.

I did two rough trials with that bud drier. I hung a damp tea towel from the middle of the lid in the container, and i left it running over night (10 hours). The first trial, i left the fan and dehumidifier side by side (together as shown in photo). There was near 15mm of water in the dehumidifier. The next night, i put the fan opposite the dehumidifier, on the other side of the container, with the fan facing the dehumidifier, with the tea towel between the fan and dehumidifier. There was a little over 20mm of water in the dehumidifier. So there was more moisture lifted in the second trial. Either there was more water in the tea towel or because the dehumidifier works better with the fan blowing at it, i don't know.
Yes, i know now, that i should have weighed the tea towel before and after, and put a thermometer in there too, but like i said, it was a rough trial.

So this has exactly what to do with drying buds?

All one is doing when drying buds is removing water. Putting a source of water vapour in, near, or with the buds would simply slow the process.

I can't see why you'd do it at all. Why add a source of water vapour when you're trying to remove water?

i assume it would take longer to dry the bud.
You assume right! :)

So there was more moisture lifted in the second trial.
OK, so it works! :)

if you do that ( create the same environment ) it wont suck dry the water from the bud but the bud will be sitting in a dry env.
