Drying and curing for BHO?

Hey guys.

I'm 11 days into flowering, and I'm starting to look into curing options.

I smoke concentrates, specifically BHO, and I'm wondering if I'm supposed to follow the standard drying/curing process, or is there a way better suited for oils?

Thanks alot.

Discussion is open:

Cure and dry like normal, I like a 2 week cure at least, then make bho or wax. I don't think the cure is needed but I think it makes the taste better and I also believe the tricombs break away from the bud/trim easier after a dry and cure.

IMO, no. If you're making BHO, don't bother curing. The curing process deals more with the chlorophyllic aspects of the plant. Concentrates don't need to bother with that. I'd say freeze it well, and go to town. Though when you freeze things having them slightly separated out really helps when you're making concentrates. You get a better flow out of the butane through the substrate when you have a substrate that isn't jam packed to the brim.

Thanks guys.

Its gotta taste good. I'm more than ok with a full cure, but if it isn't necessary......

theres a huge thing about "decarbing" and the proper cure. ultimately, you want the full cure because this will take care of a lot of the decarb process, even though you might still decarb before processing anyways, IMO it would be better to properly cure , because it will be better for the whole process
