My 4 baby seedlings are about 5" tall and the soil in the pots drys up really quick within a day. What would this be from?

If nothing else water. You can get a mouisture meter for next to nothing. It may look dry on top but is planty wet on the bottom!

well sometimes when soil is light and airy when you water it goes straight through the soil or down the sides of the pot so the soil may look wet on top but will still be dry underneath, add something that helps soil absorb water or before you water pat the sides of ya pots which will knock the air pockets out of the soil and do the same when you water, water bit by bit and pat the sides of ya pots and that way the water should soak into the soil evenly, you,ll probably havta add a little more water to make sure the soils evenly wet all the way through without dry spots.
