Dry sift hash with window screens?

the title says it all, i was wondering if i put like 5 levels of window screen placed at different angles and make the finest screeen i possibly can will it work or is it completely hopeless?

The screens will not be near fine enough, you will get way too much plant matter.

not even if i stacked them? if not are there any cheap alternatives like could i use those legging things woman wear?

^Those will probably work but silk screen from hobby lobby will be much better and you can get them in different microns like bubblebags.

you can use pantyhose if you are truly not able to get a real good screen, use it for making ice hash, worked for me and was Mmmm Mmmm Trichy

Yeah silk screen is nice and cheap and will work way better than window screen.

the pair i got were Speedball's - $20 each... all depends on the size BUT ...... VERY VERY VERY nice for making Hash and very worth it ! removable screen kicks ass in case of rips !

I went to a hyrdro shop and got a 160 micron bag and it cost me $5, product came out great.

i need one thats like 5' by 5' we got a nice harvest coming and putting a little at a time is gunna take like a week

Heh, it'll take more than a week for the skuff to dry enough to release all the kief, typically longer. Working a 5x5 is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to do by hand efficiently. You really need to think this through.

I'd suggest using bags. Work the skuff in a 20-30gal container using a 1/2" drill with a paint stirrer attachment on low speed, then transfer the mass into 3 bags: 220, 160, and 25. Pull the 220 (all lumber) and the 160 (good to cook with), then the 25 with the hash. This is far more efficient and MUCH quicker than trying to sift.

yes but im in the mountains of jamaica and we do not have any gardening/hydroponic stores so we keep to the way our ancestors have been doing it
