it is still morning an my lights just came on about 3 hours ago? Don’t know if it’s from not having light through the night or if it cause I’m over watering? I’m running a 600w full spectrum led, and the plant sits approximately a little less then two feet from the light! Rating says during veg and germ stage keep 2 feet away? First time grow, anybody got any suggestions or answers?

They perk up before the lights come on if they happy. If the light calls for 2 ft in veg give it a little more distance right now, it's just a baby. But really I think it'd be just fine with the light as is, it doesn't look too bad, quit watering it until it's feather light. Make them roots go looking for the water. When it's nearly bone dry, water just a tiny little bit, just bring it back to moist. Until the roots fill out the pot don't soak the soil.

That plant is reaching for the light and also it in too wet a soil!

Bring the light down 6’ and go from there. Internodes should be more compact and there will be more side growth.

The soil is too wet because there isn’t much of a root system yet.

Keep it dry for a few days... Then probably a few days more then give it a watering in 2 stages.

Wet soil/cold or too much N in your soil ? Most likely the first one tho tbh looks a lil stretchy can you not safely drop the lamp distance

So lately I’ve been giving the plant one good watering to where water drips from the bottom and won’t really give it a full watering again until I can physically see the soil though the whole in bottom is dry. I’m between I give it light misting with a spray bottle! Good or no?

Just slowing things down by misting it. If gets its water through the leaves it's less motivated to grow them roots. First 2/3 of veg your focus should be growing the roots. What's above the soil you can grow out super fast once you have a big happy plant under the soil.

Completely soaking the soil with a small plant in a large pot is asking for trouble. Misting is ok if done once or twice a day but only a little and will compound problems if it’s too wet.

A neat wee trick is to fill a replica pot beside it and have it filled with dry soil. It’ll give you a guide on what a dry pot actually feels like.
