Droopy clones

Hi Notorious,
I've got clones that look worse and am not worried. Some strains just don't like to root cuttings. Withholding N for a week before taking cuttings off a clone momma...will give you stronger cuttings.

Also on yours. If they get yellowish, it is ok to foliar feed a cutting to green it up.

Thanks bud! With it being my first solo grow Im being a little more cautious with everything. I have yet to make hardly any changes since buying them. Cut a couple leaves and watered once/twice with PH'd distilled water.

What would you suggest for a foliar spray?

Looking to transplant soon into a Fox Farms Ocean Forest, peralite, and possibly earth worm castings mix.

So those are dispensary clones...I was thinkin' they were fresh cuttings. Never bought a clone...but it will already have roots. So foliar not needed...that tip was for unrooted clones.

Be especially careful to inspect for pests. That's a big risk with dispo clones.. I wouldn't add worm castings. FFOF is plenty hot all by itself. Save the castings for later use as top dressing in 3 or 4 weeks when FFOF is getting weak.

Hey I've got the same kind of thing any advice mine are going yellow tipped ? I think mine look abit worse than yours dude literally first time grower

If they have roots...then a mild feed. If no roots...like I mentioned to Noto...foliar...maybe 1/2 strength grow nutes and sprayed well twice a day minimum.

Ks,
You want something with balanced grow nutrients...or actually they even make a N specif foliar solution. Yours look OK...a little light green.

Small plant in large pot is a problem. Just feed around the plant...not the whole pot.

They are from a buddy actually but yes! Inspected many times. How long do you think, or how many nodes until first transplant? Do you think final pot now or a 1gallon first?

Hmm... dang! Read a lot about how great ewc are and got stoked to mix but will definitely wait a little and read more! Thanks again.

For my coco plants, I plant seeds in small peat pot...into solo cup...into 1 gal bag...into 2 or 3gal bags as final. But I keep in solo cup till initial training is done. At 5 nodes...I top at node 3 and tie down. I wait till mainlining framework is done.

Worm castings can be very high in N and is known to have burnt young plants. You will use it...just not now.

What's your reasoning for multiple transplants as opposed to peat pot > cup > final? Just curious! I've seen people suggestion both ways. When i lived with a guy who grew we always did cup > 1 gallon > 5 gal. Just undecided so far!

I will check once I get home but if im not mistaken most of the little girls are right around that 2-3 node point currently. I will look into topping at node 3! Need to read more into that although I do get the major jist of it. Overthinking everything.. haha.

Up-potting several times is standard horticultural practice. If you plant a tiny plant into a huge pot...it's very hard to water correctly because it takes so long to dry. Done properly..it's a very low stress operation.

And think about this...for an indoor perspective. You could cram a bunch of tiny pots together and use a smaller light while plants are smaller. Then as they're transplanted up...spread them out with more light. It's an efficiency.

Perhaps less important in coco...but I still do it.

The node 3 topping was per Nrebula manifold method. For regular plain jane topping...I suppose between node 3 and node 5. You don't want to waste growth by cutting it all off. Like growing to node 7 and then topping to 3. Waste of time.

Switched to a closet due to temperatures falling. Do you think panda film is necessary if I will just be using this closet for veg? Temperatures in the 70s here and around 40% humidity currently. Much better than the tent!

Going to transplant the biggest one soon. Got my mykos/azos in the mail and its starting to get a little less moist. How long on the others until transplant into 1/3 gallon pots?

Will most likely go into a 1 or 3 before i go into the final 5 gallon.

The panda plastic is to get maximum reflectivity...so not just for flowering. The dark cream colored walls absorb lots of light. Can you paint the walls? Flat white. I'd stick panda plastic inder the pots too. Your choice though.

Some of your taller plants could be up-potted now...others need a few weeks yet...

Ahh okay so panda is great for veg as well? Wasnt sure if they are getting enough light as is.. I will order some panda now though! I live in a rental so not sure if i can really paint the walls unfortunately. The walls look a little lighter color in person though.

Thank you very much for the advice. Will be replanting at least one today. At this stage do you think about 2-3 feet away on my light is sufficient? Also have it turned down all the way. Seems bright enough but could be closer possibly. Just dont want to burn them. Thanks again man!

Not familiar with your light...but you can't really use your eyes as a judge. I'd crank it up some and just watch temps and for signs of light stress. Fading top leaves, etc. OK, try this... calculate how much space you have times 30 watts per sq ft. That's how much light minimum they should get in veg. Then look at the actual electrical draw of your light and compare. Say you have 4 sq ft...that would be 120 watts...so that's what lights you want.

Perfect. I'm working with an LED that doesnt produce much heat at all. Draws 500w from the wall, supposed to be equivalent to 1000w give or take. I only turn it on till it JUST turns on and leave it. Havnt noticed any burning yet so I may lower it just a tad. Thanks again!

Question on these guys im trying to water root... Would you suggest me doing something else? Nothing has happened yet and its been about 2-3 weeks now. I was trying to hold off on buying a cloning gel and cubes to get them started in hoping I could save some cash going this route but may not be worth it! Ideas?

Let me go back a sec...The panda plastic is low priority. And regarding light height...there's lots of difference between 2 and 3 feet. 2 is ok...3 seems too high, And with it turned down...maybe even lower.

Far as cloning...not sure on timing for cloning in water. The little peat pucks are pretty cheap. I use rockwool...just because I have lots of it. Be patient...they are still green and not wilted.

Got the biggest one transplanted. Any issues with these spots on the leafs? Also would you say its a good time to top this node as well or let it shoot one more? If im counting right each stem looks like it has 3 nodes past the nodes where it V 's out.

Starting to think I should just make a grow journal or something!
