Drip irrigation schedule for 45-gal cloth pots?

What’s up, everyone?

I’m growing 6 plants from feminized Ace seeds this outdoor season. They germinated about 3-4 weeks ago, and now they are all growing happily in their 1-gal pots.

I’m hoping to skip any additional transplants and move them straight into their “forever homes”, which are 45-gal cloth pots with a nice soil blend. Each 45-gal pot will be set up with up with six 1 gph pressure compensating emitters connected to valve manifolds (so I can run anywhere from 1 to 6 emitters per pot, as needed).

All of this is connected to an irrigation timer, so I can basically water each of my six pots with anywhere from 1 gph to 6 gph for as long as needed.

Obviously I need to keep an eye on my plants and my soil moisture and react accordingly (especially while the plants are still small), but I’d love to hear any tips, examples, etc, that might help me get this right the first timw

If you have ever run a 45 gallon (or similar) cloth pot in the California sun, about how much / how often were you watering during peak veg and/or flowering?

Do you have better luck running the irrigation every day for a short period, or, say, every 3 or 4 days for a longer period?

What do you think?

Cheers,

~SS
