I picked up a blue venom fem freebee, still in the bag. has anyone grown that strain yet?
That would be a big NO !!Hey driftwood, I also have a slug problem, they were eating the heck out of the buds I haven't been back to my spot in a while do plants grow faster than slugs eat?
That would be a big NO !!
I had slugs eat a 3 foot clone this year, in one night. I went out, and they left me with a stick in the ground....
There's some steps you can take. copper works well, but it's too late for me.. most of my plants are in the 4-6 foot range, and the slugs are still all over them. It sucks big time. I've had a dozen slugs on one plant at times.
I just fuck 'em up when i go out, with an ammonia and water mix, and hope for the best.
my next step, is to get my hands on a shit load of copper sheeting ( the type used to make rain gutters) and go that route.
I found that the bait, and pellet style poisons, just attract more slugs.
I just figure, that as the slugs eat the lower growth, it shoots the growth hormones to the tips, and that's the only way i can justify feeling ok with it.
yeah, i've used the slug magic, but with all the rain we've had up here, i washes away pretty quick.Damn, and i recently bought these pellets called "Slug Magic" the active ingredient is iron phosphate. I'll be going back soon.
so that mix, its 1 part ammonia to 6 parts water. How is it applied? sprayed on to the plants? And you said something about how that adds nitrogen. the NH3 breaks down I'm assuming?
EDIT: Also, since we are both up north, do you get budworms during flowering? I don't know if that is something we have to worry about up here.
Keep it up
I also have 2 thia super skunk in northern maine no flowers .But my afg, kush are in flower alot of slugs aaahhhhhhhhh! Thanks Bro.
I also like the sativas..... In fact, I have a thai super skunk that is about a month and a half into flowering. she should be done by the frost. I hope. I do know that she's lovin' the swamp life.... all but the slugs ! She's only about 4 feet tall, but heck i'm thrilled just to have her.
WHAT UP MAINA !!!I also have 2 thia super skunk in northern maine no flowers .But my afg, kush are in flower alot of slugs aaahhhhhhhhh!
I did add hydrated lime to the local of the lsd, right after the melt.being in the swamp did you have to mess with lime on the ph.I have grow bags in swamps they are on the edge of open pet bog alot of light and spruce so they blend the ground is sooo wet with all the rain fellow mainer!
that mosquito seems to be enjoying himself in the pic.this is the thai after a month of flowering
yup, and the spider is patiently waiting.that mosquito seems to be enjoying himself in the pic.
I hear that works well. one could go through alot of beer!!I went back to my site where i put 3 half full beer cans around 2 plants, and the can was just brown syrup it was so pungent I almost puked when I poured it out. alot of dissolved slug material was in those.
It's breakin' down as we speak !looken damn nice i think , about that swamp soil, i wood think it wood be good stuff with all that decayed matter in it . i wood just add a little lime 2 it 2 bring down tha ph , maybe make a compost heap 4 next yr with some leaves from the brush and grass , no need 2 buy soil
