Dried out cannabis

Hello all,

I have some cannabis that is dried out and needs moisture to it. I left it in the garage and summer got to it I guess. It is crunchy, I see some videos where people have put lettuce in the jar with the dry cannabis to reverse the affects of it. I want to use a orange peel, do I have to just put it in there with the peel or the peel and a slice of orange?

just the peel would do. you may need to change the peel out for a fresh one if the buds are as dry as you say.

i've heard of people doing this with a whole bunch of stuff, fan leaves and apple slices come to mind...

bear in mind, if you use an orange peel then the buds will take on that scent

So how many days would you say I would have to do this? Do you think I should change like every 12 hours? I don't mind the orange scent.

i use little humidity packs called Boveda packs. they regulate humidity at a certain level. the one's i have are 62%.

my last harvest i forgot to seal the jars back up after burping one day, the humidity dropped down to the 20s in the jar room, and my whole harvest was super dry. i just stuck a boveda pack in each jar and let them sit a week, the buds got some moisture and smell back, and smoked very nice.

in the past i've used orange peels, this was over a decade by now... they make the buds smell like orange peel. just keep swapping them out once they dry out till the bud is where you want it.


or just say fuck it and make some budder or something out of the dried out buds.

Thanks! I am gonna have to try that out too. It was a good amount of bud, so I want to try and salvage it.

Anything with moisture content will do. Wet a sponge (and wring to damp), put it in a plastic baggie left open at the top. (I rehydrate my Boveda packs that way. It should rehydrate dry cannabis.). An orange or grapefruit rind might add some flavor (it probably won't have much now).

Report back how it smokes. I don't think it's going to turn out well. But, I've never tried it.

i've started to label them with an open date so i can keep track of how long i've had them.

i've gotten into the habit of keeping all of my extra boveda packs in a sealed jar. they seem to regulate each other. i find that mine often get "saturated", as in, they won't absorb any more moisture from the air. when this happens, i just leave it out overnight in any room and it'll dry out a bit, then throw them back into that jar.


my buddy doesn't believe me that they are two way, and rechargeable. he tosses them out all the time...

Hello everyone,


I got the boveda paks this morning and put them in mason jars with the cannabis. Long do you think it will take for them to rehydrate the cannabis?
