Dreams Dreams and more Dreams

I’ve had the same reoccurring dream for 20+ years now. The dream is so heavy I have a hard time waking from it. I hardly remember my dreams the last few years but when I do they’re usually nightmares. I can’t recall the last time I dreamt of something pleasant :|

I also have dreams I don't talk about. Very much reoccurring and why sometimes I don't want to go back to bed. Sometimes it's more real than what real life feels like. I've noticed temperature can change how I dream. Air movement also.

What the hell were you smoking? Are you sure that was a dream!?
I was twenty and dead stone sober.

It was really rather awesome.

The dream began when i was rooting in the rummage bin at some bookstore. I found a signed copy.
Signed by her.
“Something something mikase beleiko -Maia”

(sounds of thunder)
(cascading memories of Maia)

And for a split superconducting second I saw a lightning-brilliant myriad of realities laid briefly bare, in which she and I sought to find a way to stave off the inevitable collapse.

I was left with something like a testament of affection plus regret. A golden-yellow apology for what might have been.

Some dreams leave an emotional streak.
