Welp, im about to start growing 2 more plants along with my main grow [currently on day 11 since sprout]. I am starting them in 18 oz red cups instead of the 2 liter I used for the main [worked out horribly].
Now I filled them with miracle grow potting soil... all I can get, I already know its not that great. Then I poured half a 1 liter bottle of water over both cups. [Each got about 1/4L total]. Still nothing has drained from the 4 holes at the bottom. they are big enough... but the water just isnt getting to the bottom. I have waited about 45 minutes too.
My question is, is 1/4 a liter enough to drain the soil? Should I use more?
When should I consider the soil "drained"; when a fair amount of water comes out one or all holes? or when the first trace amounts comes out?
